Welcome to Baldwin Service Search (the "Platform"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Platform. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

The Platform exists solely to connect individuals or businesses seeking services ("Clients") with independent service providers ("Providers") located in Baldwin County, Alabama.

The Platform:

• Facilitates the posting of service requests by Clients
• Allows Providers to submit quotes or bids using platform credits ("Bid Coins")
• Enables limited exchange of contact information once a bid is submitted

The Platform does not:

• Perform, supervise, guarantee, or endorse any services
• Process payments between Clients and Providers for services
• Guarantee outcomes, quality, pricing, timing, or satisfaction

The Platform functions similarly to a classified listing or matchmaking service.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.

By using the Platform, you represent that:

• You have the legal capacity to enter into agreements
• Any information you provide is accurate and truthful

3. Provider Status and Independence

All Providers using the Platform are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of the Platform.

The Platform does not control:

• How Providers perform services
• The tools, methods, or materials used
• Pricing or payment terms between Clients and Providers

Any agreement formed between a Client and a Provider is a private agreement between those parties alone.

4. Licenses, Insurance, and Verification

Providers may optionally submit license or insurance information.

Important clarifications:

• Licenses and insurance are not required to use the Platform
• The Platform does not independently verify the validity or sufficiency of any documents
• Any verification indicators or badges are informational only

Clients are solely responsible for evaluating a Provider’s qualifications before engaging services.

5. Bid Coins and Platform Credits

Bid Coins are digital credits used solely to unlock the ability to submit a quote or bid through the Platform.

Rules regarding Bid Coins:

• Bid Coins have no cash value
• Bid Coins are non-transferable
• Bid Coins are non-refundable once used
• Purchasing Bid Coins does not guarantee work or acceptance of a bid

The Platform may offer promotional or bonus Bid Coins at its discretion.

6. Payments for Services

The Platform does not:

• Collect service payments
• Hold escrow
• Resolve payment disputes

All payments for services are arranged directly between Clients and Providers outside the Platform.

7. Ratings and Reviews (Future Feature)

The Platform may allow Clients and Providers to submit ratings or reviews.

If implemented:

• Reviews reflect personal opinions only
• The Platform does not guarantee accuracy
• The Platform may remove content that violates policy

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Circumvent platform safeguards or create fraudulent accounts
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the Platform for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to scrape or exploit platform data

The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available"
• The Platform disclaims all warranties, express or implied
• The Platform is not liable for damages arising from services performed by Providers

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Property damage
• Personal injury
• Financial loss
• Dissatisfaction with services

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Platform from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your interactions with other users
• Your violation of these Terms

11. Termination

The Platform may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

The Platform may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
